“ON” (όν) is the Greek word for “Being”. The most evolved being naturally is Human, so a replica figure of the “Vitruvian Man” (by Leonardo da Vinci) plays a central role in the composition of ON.

ON was created trough a special process. It started from the center and gradually extended. During this process, different groups of draw elements, was joint together at different scales.

A special technique allow the piece by piece development of ON from the center to the perimeter, and the sense of depth, from the inside out.

..Might take several days for a person to really see all the graphic elements and to perceive the details of the whole image ΟΝ.

When we look more closely into ON, a deeper level of detail reveals.

Here, magnified spots show us the amount of detail that exists near the edges of ON. There is multiple times greater amount of detail than near and round the center.

Depth of detail in image “1” is also enormous. Like in Universe, we can only see a small piece of it at a time. If we zoom at any spot of “1” that appears to be black, optical information seems to have the same analogy between white (emptiness) and black lines (matter).

Here we see the center of image “1” magnified X 1000. When the whole image “1” is presented at a screen or printed, the center always appear as total black. This is due to technical limitations of the representation mediums (screens/printers). In reality, no matter how deep we look into “1”, there is always a great amount of white space among the lines.

Presentation of image “1” is always a compromise. In the original vector file, lines have a width of 0,01 mm(!). Like a tiny mirror that reflects our Universe, image “1” carries complexity at microscopic level.

We perceive space through three dimensions. For printing and projecting images, we use two dimensions. But then again we perceive the third dimension, through lights and shadows, perspective, etc. However, image “Zero” gives us clear optical information only for one dimension…

Imagine “Zero” as if it was the Earths surface. Now imagine you are for a long time onboard an airplane with no windows, therefore you don’t know your position, direction or the altitude. Now, If you jump out of the airplane in a free fall, it will be impossible to understand were on Earth you are(!) were is North and where is South and most important, you couldn’t perceive your distance from the ground.

This is the center of image “0” magnified X 1000. In the original -vector- file, the icon of the Vitruvian Man at the center, is only 0,1 millimeter (from side to side). In this outstanding deep of detail, we are reaching the technological limitations in vector images.

ON was created through a synthesis of thousand distinctive graphic elements. Every graphic element like a cell of an organism, is coexisting with its surrounding elements, and all together constitutes the body / structure of the whole.

Composition of “ON” has been evolved upon a skeleton of conceptual lines. Those guidelines are forming a secondary image. This image is a simplistic visual representation of the four fundamental forces of the Universe, as they interact with each other, giving hypostasis to a Human Being.
